Insurance is a people business. Here's who you're working with and why I do what I do.
I'm a Fort Lauderdale-based insurance agent and the owner of Sentinel Insurance. I took over this agency in 2021 because I believed there was a better way to do insurance in South Florida: one that puts people first, explains things clearly, and doesn't disappear after the sale.
When you call Sentinel, you get me, a real person when you need one. Not a call center. Not a different person every time. I handle your policy, answer your questions, and fight for you when you need to file a claim. That's how it should work.
I serve families and businesses across the entire state of Florida, with a focus on Broward County, Palm Beach County, and the surrounding areas. Whether you need auto insurance, hurricane-ready home coverage, or a complete protection strategy for your family, I'll walk you through your options clearly and honestly, to help you make the right call.
Insurance is in my blood, even if I didn't always know it. My step-dad has been in the insurance industry for over 30 years, and growing up around it gave me a front-row seat to what this business looks like when it's done right: showing up for people, explaining things clearly, and being there when it matters most. He's the one who guided me down this career path, and I'm grateful he did.
My college education took me to Ole Miss (The University of Mississippi), where I graduated with a B.B.A. in Risk Management and Insurance with a minor in Entrepreneurship. That combination of understanding risk at a technical level and knowing how to build a business, provided me with the foundation of everything I do today. Unlike most other agents, I didn't fall into insurance by accident. I chose it because I saw a way to help people with something that genuinely matters.
I took over Sentinel Insurance in 2021 because I saw an opportunity to do things differently in South Florida. Not with a flashy gimmick or a catchy slogan, but by doing the basics right: picking up the phone, explaining what a policy actually covers (and what it doesn't), and being available when something goes wrong, not just when it's time to renew.
As a native Floridian, I am no stranger to the complex insurance markets of South Florida and what it takes to navigate one of the most complex insurance markets in the country. Between hurricanes, flooding, rising premiums, and carriers pulling out of the state, it can feel impossible to navigate on your own. That's where I come in. I live here, I insure here, and I deal with the same market conditions my clients do. When hurricane season hits, I'm not watching from another state — I'm preparing right alongside you.
I'll explain your coverage in plain English. If something doesn't make sense, ask. I'd rather spend 20 minutes on the phone now than have you surprised during a claim.
When you call Sentinel, you get me. I know your policy, your situation, and your priorities. You won't have to re-explain yourself every time you need something.
I specialize in the unique risks of this market: hurricane deductibles, wind mitigation credits, flood zones, volatile carrier landscape. This isn't a side gig. It's what I do every day.
I'll never sell you coverage you don't need, and I'll always tell you about gaps you should know about. My job is to protect you, not to upsell you.
When I'm not reviewing policies and fielding calls, you can find me rooting on my favorite sports teams (Go Rebels, Dolphins, and Panthers!) or somewhere outdoors playing pickleball, golfing or exercising. Staying active helps me decompress from the constant chaos of Florida's insurance market.
My wife Nicole and I recently got married in December 2025, and we recently welcomed an Australian Shepherd puppy into our family named Enzo. I may run Sentinel Insurance, but Enzo runs our house. We're also planning to buy our first home here in Fort Lauderdale this year, which means I'll be going through the exact same homeowners insurance process I walk my clients through every day. Practice what you preach, right?
As a native Floridian, I love living in South Florida. The weather, the water, the energy. There's nowhere else like it. Protecting the people and families who make this community what it is? That's not just my job. It's something I take personally.
